We love getting to know the people who come to see our show. Typically that would be at the magic fireplace in our lobby after a show during our nightly meet-and-greet with anyone who wants to say hi. Every once in a while, the conversation will turn from “how did you do that?” or “how did you get started in magic?” to “what else should we do while we’re in the Dells?”

We like to toss them a few ideas with some things we’ve done personally or things we know our audience members have told us they love to do when they come to the Dells. And the rave reviews for all of these attractions will give you confidence that you will make the most of your trip to the Dells this year.

The Dells is famously known for its natural beauty as well as being the water park capital, but we also encourage you to take in some of its other wonders. Sometimes when we’re put on the spot, it can be hard to think quick. So we decided to share some great things to do on our website. #4 — Double Cut Charcoal Grill [MAP]
This gem is a fantastic contemporary steakhouse located at the Kalahari. We love their classic steaks (like their mushroom crusted filet mignon, yum!), but you also will love their seafood selections as well. They describe their atmosphere as “sophisticated yet comfortable” and we think that’s an accurate description. Their vast wine list and great food on their family-friendly menu is worth a visit. And, of course kids are welcome — it is the Dells, after all! So no worries there.

#3 — Wizard Quest [MAP]
This cool interactive tablet game is a hands-on fantasy experience where you try to find and set free wizards. Spread over 13,000 sq ft, it’s “full of secret passages, hidden entrances, a ball pit, and a mirror maze” where you will need to solve riddles, find clues and answer questions.

We love the fun, imaginative visuals — that’s right up our alley! It’s great for all ages, especially since you’re helping each other solve your quest. You can pick from 3 quests ranging from easy to hard. It’s a great way to bond, have some fun and enjoy a unique challenge. They are moving to a new location in May 2021, so plan your visit for this summer.

#2 — Lost Canyon Tours [MAP]
So, what were we saying earlier about the “natural beauty” in the Dells? There’s no shortage of beautiful landscapes around here, but the Lost Canyon Tour offers a very special way to enjoy the scenery. How does a horse-drawn carriage sound? This journey has roots back to the mid-1950s and takes you on a memorable trip through the cliff-lined gorges of the Lost Canyon, Wisconsin’s longest and deepest land canyon.

The coachman — or carriage driver — is your guide, offering some background and history with humorous anecdotes as you progress through the canyon. There are truly incredible views and plenty of fantastic photo opportunities. And did we mention the horses are absolutely beautiful, too?! What exactly were you expecting for number 1? We certainly don’t want to contradict our TripAdvisor ranking… : ) Honestly, we take a lot of pride in delivering a great, entertaining show, year in and year out to help make your Dells vacation memorable. We’ve been performing here at our theater since 1999, which is pretty unheard of for a single-show venue in a tourist destination with a lot of attractions to choose from. Yet, we remain the Top-Rated Attraction in Wisconsin Dells and, even better, we are #1 of 46 on TripAdvisor’s list of “Things to Do in Wisconsin Dells.”

Our show is new every year and has entertained thousands for more than two decades. While we’ve needed to adjust a few things for public health reasons, one thing never changes: our love of sharing magic with people of all ages. Much like the other attractions on our list, our goal is to make sure the entire family has fun and wants to come back year after year.
