Benefit Show a big success

Yesterday’s Lake Delton Benefit Show was a great success, and great fun. An energetic crowd helped us raise over $4,000 to help the families who lost their homes on the lake. We’d like to thank all of you who donated and made it to the show, it was great to see so many make it here to show support for these families. We’d also like to extend a big thank you to our theater staff for donating their time on their day off to help us out. To read more about the Benefit Show, visit Madison’s WISC-TV web site. Rick and I have added several items to our Magic Shop that are new for 2008! There’s a new 18×24 poster, 4 new 8×10 photos, and our new “Backstage Pass” V.I.P. badges with a red lanyard. You can see them all online in the Magic Shop or visit us at the Theater.
Lake Delton Benefit Show

As many of you are aware from watching the news, south central Wisconsin has been battered in recent weeks with severe storms. In the Dells, Lake Delton suffered catastrophic damage when the lake’s banks gave way and the lake flooded into the Wisconsin River.
Lost were the permanent residences of some families on Lake Delton. To help those families during these difficult times, Suzan and I are performing a special benefit grand illusion show on JUNE 22 at 2:00 pm here at the Theater.
All of the proceeds from this special show — 100% — will benefit the families who lost their homes. Please join us for a special afternoon to help these families. If you go to our show calendar you’ll see a red box on June 22. Click there and select from $50, $20 or $10 tickets. The $20 and $10 seating is the same, just the amount of the donation is different. For those who would like to donate a little more, we have a $50 V.I.P. donation level that comes with Premium V.I.P. seating for the show.

Those are probably the best ways to describe RickWilcox.com after our recent update to the site. As we get ready for the upcoming summer season at the Theater, we’ve made things easier for you here on the web. Our site is now more intuitive and user-friendly than ever. You probably already noticed our show video that automatically began playing on the home page, but we’ve also refined our navigation so things are easier to find. Make sure you browse the whole site to see what our show is all about, and don’t miss a stop at the online Magic Shop where we’ll be adding more and more items as the 2008 season kicks into high gear. We hope you like the small but important changes we’ve made. We’d love to hear your thoughts on the improvements to the site and your experience finding your way around. Upcoming Television Appearance

Rick and I are really excited to let you know we’ve just confirmed an upcoming appearance on Madison’s CW, channel 57 (14 on Charter cable). We’ll be appearing with local morning host Emmy Fink on The Daily Buzz, which airs from 6-9 am weekdays. We’ll be on with Emmy during the “Buzzed into Madison” segments on Tuesday, March 18, in several intervals. We’re scheduled to be on “on the :20s and on the :50s”… so we’re due to appear at 6:20, 7:20 and 8:20 am, and also at 6:50, 7:50, and 8:50 am. Really looking forward to it! Should be a lot of fun. Last spring we appeared on Madison’s Live at Five show on their CBS affiliate, channel 3. Television is always fun, and we had a great time doing that, so this should be fun as well. Hope you get a chance to see it!
