Those are probably the best ways to describe RickWilcox.com after our recent update to the site. As we get ready for the upcoming summer season at the Theater, we’ve made things easier for you here on the web. Our site is now more intuitive and user-friendly than ever. You probably already noticed our show video that automatically began playing on the home page, but we’ve also refined our navigation so things are easier to find. Make sure you browse the whole site to see what our show is all about, and don’t miss a stop at the online Magic Shop where we’ll be adding more and more items as the 2008 season kicks into high gear. We hope you like the small but important changes we’ve made. We’d love to hear your thoughts on the improvements to the site and your experience finding your way around. Just click here to contact us … and hopefully we’ll see you this summer!
Upcoming Television Appearance

Rick and I are really excited to let you know we’ve just confirmed an upcoming appearance on Madison’s CW, channel 57 (14 on Charter cable). We’ll be appearing with local morning host Emmy Fink on The Daily Buzz, which airs from 6-9 am weekdays. We’ll be on with Emmy during the “Buzzed into Madison” segments on Tuesday, March 18, in several intervals. We’re scheduled to be on “on the :20s and on the :50s”… so we’re due to appear at 6:20, 7:20 and 8:20 am, and also at 6:50, 7:50, and 8:50 am. Really looking forward to it! Should be a lot of fun. Last spring we appeared on Madison’s Live at Five show on their CBS affiliate, channel 3. Television is always fun, and we had a great time doing that, so this should be fun as well. Hope you get a chance to see it!
Magic Kits are here!
We’re really excited about our new Rick Wilcox Magic Kit, and they’re here now and ready to ship. We had a blast putting the kit together, it brought back some great memories from tricks I used to do have fun with as a kid. And it was also fun putting together the DVD with tricks that adults will have a great time with, too. Check out the Magic Kit in our Magic Store…

Back in 1981…

… Ronald Reagan became president,
… Wheel of Fortune premiered,
… Simon & Garfunkel played in Central Park for over half a million people,
… and I was a 16-year old kid getting my first salaried job as a magician at a local restaurant — First Place West in Brookfield, Wisconsin. This old article talks about my dreams of having a larger stage show and how I dreamt of doing bigger and bigger tricks:
“I just sent for my biggest and best trick. It’s a big wooden crate. I’ll be placed in a bag with my hands and feet tied; the box will be chained and locked; my sister will stand on the crate with a curtain around us. In just 3 seconds, I will be holding the curtain and Debbie will be tied up in the locked box!”
Here I am now, 26 years later, and the dream has come true — and the tricks have certainly gotten bigger!
By the way, you may have guessed by now, but that’s not Suzan in the picture, that’s my sister Debbie.
