Crazy Cube
You display two small plastic canisters, each with a red cap. The magician turns so he cannot see. A volunteer is asked to place a single die in the small canister and remember the number face up. They replace the cap. You place the small canister inside a larger canister to ensure the die is completely concealed. You turn toward the spectator and ask them to focus on the number. Without hesitation you read their mind and tell the spectator the number they have chosen.
